In Memories
Jim (and his beautiful wife Rhonda) came into my life when I first started doing the music a Faith Chapel. Right away Jim became one of my best soloists (and friends). I tended to go to him when I would need a particularly difficult song that few could do. He always nailed them! He sang a very difficult (and loved) version of "O Holy Night." I am going to try to get a copy of that so that I can hear him sing once more. He was a excellent carpenter. He built several things for us when we bought our new home in 2001. He built a full kitchen for my Mother while she was living in the house. My mom loved being there even though she was sitting right in the middle of the carpentry while Jim and Steve Monson hammered and sawed right around her. She had company all day long! They were so kind although I am sure she drove them a little crazy some days! Mom just adored those guys! When Jim had to step down from singing due to his health, I was so lost without his presence in the music. The whole team loved him and missed him. He was not only gifted, but he was so kind, easy to work with, and so much fun. Goodbye Jim. You are missed!
